Aix-en-Provence

Aix-on-Provence is a nice cozy town in France with a beautiful architecture.

I had just half a day there in my short three city trip “Marseille – Aix-en Provence – Montpellier” but it was enough to get a feeling of this southern town.

Aix-on-Provence has little streets, beautiful squares and churches.

And of course famous French Boulangeries with fantastic sweets.

It has a lot of charm and really nice ambiance, especially in the evening when lights are on and all cafes and restaurants are opened and waiting for the clients.

There is a big square in the centre of old town with all the restaurants, and it seems that everyone goes out to eat tasty french food, drink wine, meet friend and relax. No matter which day of the week you come to Aix-on-Provence – in the evening it is full of life and delisious smells.

There are French restaurants, Chinise, Japanese – any sort of citchen for any taste and mood.

There is a famous tower of Aix-en-Provence with a big square nearby surrounded by historical buildings. This part of the town I like most of all.

Aix-en-Provence is particularily beautiful at night when the sky gets dark and the lights give the town a magic touch.

Aix-on-Provence is really close to Marseille and not so far from Montpellier, so a day trip is possible from both cities, as well as from Avignon et Toulon.
